SSRF via unchecked asynchronous receipt destination
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
SSRF in Apache Camel's AS2 component allows remote attackers to reach internal hosts through asynchronous receipt delivery. AS2AsynchronousMDNManager.send() uses the inbound Receipt-Delivery-Option header to open an outbound socket without restricting the destination to deployment-approved hosts. Exploitation requires an AS2 receiver accepting the sender's message; configured MDN delivery credentials also leak when the destination is attacker-controlled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
