Authentication bypass via inconsistent context-path case matching
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Authentication bypass in Apache Camel Netty HTTP allows remote attackers to reach protected routes via altered request-path case. HttpServerChannelHandler.extractTarget uses a case-sensitive prefix check before stripping the context path, while dispatch ignores case, leaving security constraints evaluating the wrong target. Upstream identifies prefix routing with subpath-specific constraints as the exposure gate; unauthenticated requests reach protected routes, while catch-all constraints remain enforced.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
