Authentication bypass via fail-open OAuth processors
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Authentication bypass in Apache Camel OAuth processors allows remote attackers to reach protected endpoints via unauthenticated requests. OAuthBearerTokenProcessor and code-flow processors return from authentication denial paths without stopping the exchange, allowing subsequent route steps to execute and overwrite the error response. Exposure requires a route guarded by these processors; no prior access is required, and consequences depend on the protected operations that follow.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
