Cross-user password changes via user-controlled account key
Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026
Authorization bypass in Shizen Connect Shizen Box 2 edge-app 3.1.15 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to change other users' passwords. The password-change operation trusts a user-controlled account key instead of enforcing authorization for the target account. Exploitation requires a valid login, an intentionally disabled firewall, and same-LAN access, and permits takeover of the targeted account.
