Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted BinaryFormatter
Published Jun 18, 2026 · Updated Jun 18, 2026
Deserialization in iba AG ibaPDA before 8.14.0 and ibaDatCoordinator before 4.0.7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The client-server handlers deserialize network input with .NET BinaryFormatter without restricting permitted types, enabling type confusion. No authentication or user interaction is required; code runs as the service account, which commonly has extensive host privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
