Cross-tenant disclosure via in-memory subscription authorization

Published Aug 30, 2026 · Updated Aug 30, 2026

Incorrect authorization in AshGraphql 1.4.0 through 1.10.1 allows remote authenticated users to read cross-tenant subscription records. AshGraphql.Graphql.Resolver calls Ash.can/3 with run_queries?: false, evaluates policy filters against in-memory notifications, and omits a tenant-scoped read; single notifications lack a tenant guard, while batches check only their head. Exploitation requires multitenant subscriptions, a passing in-memory read policy, and cross-tenant notification routing; the consequence is unauthorized record disclosure only.
