CVE-2026-80219Network attack vector

OAuth token theft via tenant-controlled redirect URI

Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026

OAuth weakness in Red Hat build of Apache Camel - HawtIO 4 allows remote authenticated users to steal OpenShift access tokens. The hawtio-operator creates a cluster-scoped public OAuthClient with GrantMethod set to auto and accepts spec.routeHostName as a redirect URI without restricting tenant-controlled hosts. An attacker with namespace edit access must deploy cluster-mode Hawtio and induce a cluster user to visit a crafted authorization URL; the resulting redirect exposes that user's token without a consent prompt.
