CVE-2026-80158

Bind credential disclosure via unredacted module parameter

Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Information disclosure in community.general ipa_getkeytab allows local users to obtain an IPA bind password from logs or process listings. The bind_pw argument lacks no_log protection and is passed as a visible --bindpw value, so Ansible records it in logs, return data, job output, and the process command line. Access to those records or the process table exposes the directory credential and the accounts and objects it can access.
