Out-of-directory file access via unchecked listing paths
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Path traversal in Apache Camel Mina SFTP allows remote attackers to read files outside the polling directory through crafted listings. FtpUtils.absoluteFilePath and GenericFileConsumer concatenate server-supplied names without normalization or containment checks. Exploitation requires a malicious or compromised SFTP server; deletion and renaming require disposition options, and operations remain bounded by the server account's permissions and confinement.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
