Authenticated sandbox escape via dlopen heuristic bypass
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Sandbox escape in the MaxKB function-library executor before 2.10.6-lts allows remote authenticated users to execute code as the sandbox user. An importlib meta-path callback places a Python import frame on the stack so the dlopen gate accepts ctypes.CDLL, while unhooked dlsym resolves glibc's real syscall. Any authenticated workspace member with default tool-debug permission can then read or write container files, start processes, or reach networks with sandbox-user privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
