Sandbox escape via unhooked fexecve
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Sandbox bypass in KubeOperator MaxKB before 2.10.6-lts allows remote authenticated users to start processes outside tool policy. The ToolExecutor LD_PRELOAD sandbox hooks execve, execvpe, and execveat but omits fexecve, so file-descriptor-form os.execve reaches an unguarded libc path. An attacker must have authenticated access to execute tool code; successful use bypasses the intended subprocess restriction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
