Memory disclosure via JPEG2000 buffer over-read
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Acrobat and Reader 26.002.21900 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose memory via crafted JPEG2000 data. The JPEG2000 parser in those releases and Acrobat Pro 2024 24.001.30383 and earlier fails to validate user-supplied data before reading beyond an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; the disclosure can support a separate code-execution chain.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
