Cross-origin data disclosure
Published May 6, 2026 · Updated May 6, 2026
Origin validation error in Google Chrome before 148.0.7778.96 allows remote attackers to leak cross-origin data via a crafted HTML page. The flaw is in the Media component, but Google has not disclosed the faulty operation because the Chromium issue remains restricted. A user must open attacker-controlled HTML, after which the page can read data that the browser's same-origin protections should isolate; no integrity or availability impact is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
