Credential disclosure via unauthenticated pprof route
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Authentication bypass in Rclone rclone before 1.75.0 allows remote attackers to read backend credentials through its RC server. The pprof debug handler is registered as a separate router route, so requests to /debug/pprof/cmdline never reach the main handler's fail-closed authentication rule. Exposure requires a network-reachable RC server and reveals its full process arguments, without reported data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
