Administrator command execution via unescaped ACME settings
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
OS command injection in Termix 2.4.1 through 2.5.0 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute server commands. The ACME certificate-request handler inserts stored domain and email values into a double-quoted certbot command and passes the string to child_process.execSync, allowing shell metacharacters to escape the intended arguments. Administrator access is required; injected commands run as the backend process and can read or modify Termix data, secrets, stored credentials, and reachable resources.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
