CVE-2026-79743Public exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Arbitrary file write via unsanitized manifest name

Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Aug 31, 2026

Path traversal in MCPHub before 0.12.13 allows remote attackers to write files outside the upload directory through a crafted MCPB archive. The upload handler parses manifest.json and concatenates manifest.name into finalExtractDir without normalization or containment validation before directory creation and rename operations. The unauthenticated upload route permits arbitrary filesystem writes with the service account's permissions; cleanup deletion remains confined to entries under the upload directory.
