Authenticated command execution via unsanitized act argument
Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 7, 2026
Command injection in Advantech WISE-6610 gateways 1.2.1_20251110 allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands. The Node-RED Library nodered_lib_apply function passes the attacker-controlled act argument into an operating-system command without neutralizing command syntax. Access to the authenticated remote management path is required, after which injected commands run with service privileges and can read, alter, or interrupt gateway operations.
