Admin-level SSRF via hostname resolution bypass
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 29, 2026
SSRF in Ech0 before 4.4.3 allows remote authenticated users with admin privileges to reach internal resources through crafted webhooks. validateWebhookURL passes hostname inputs when net.ParseIP returns nil, and the HTTP clients connect without validating the DNS-resolved address. An administrator can use a resolving hostname to probe private services or access cloud metadata, while delivery results expose connectivity.
