Administrative data disclosure via skipped scope validation
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Authorization bypass in lin-snow Ech0 before 4.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to read administrative data via session tokens. RequireScopes calls ctx.Next() for session-token JWTs before scope validation, while affected handlers lack IsAdmin checks and the WebSocket route has no middleware. Any logged-in non-admin can retrieve system logs, visitor statistics, update data, and user emails or subscribe to live logs.
