Metadata disclosure via faulty similar-question search authorization
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Apache Answer 2.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read non-public question metadata via similar-question search. The similar-question search returns metadata for questions that the requesting account is not authorized to view. Authentication is required, and the disclosure establishes metadata exposure rather than access to full question contents or modification of questions.
