CVE-2026-79514Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Process crash via oversized HTTP chunk length

Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in GPAC 26.07.0 allows context-dependent attackers to crash the process through a crafted chunked HTTP response. gf_dm_get_chunk_data accepts a 0xFFFFFFFF chunk length, after which unsigned addition wraps in gf_dm_data_received and an oversized memcpy reads beyond its source buffer. Exploitation requires a user to load attacker-served content or a man-in-the-middle attacker to modify plaintext HTTP; the demonstrated consequence is process termination without data disclosure.
