Arbitrary read and write via unvalidated ANGLE input
Published May 6, 2026 · Updated May 6, 2026
Input validation in ANGLE in Google Chrome before 148.0.7778.96 allows remote attackers to perform arbitrary reads and writes via crafted HTML. Google has not disclosed the affected ANGLE routine, the untrusted field, or the validation operation it omits. A user must open the crafted page, and the attacker must already control the renderer process; the reported consequence is arbitrary read/write access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
