Information disclosure via plaintext MQTT traffic
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Cleartext transmission in Trueview TI8161 6.0.23.4 allows attackers to read sensitive MQTT traffic sent over TCP port 1883. The camera sends human-readable JSON MQTT payloads containing device identifiers, a device secret, authentication parameters, metadata, and operational commands without TLS. Exploitation requires a position able to monitor the camera's network segment; the demonstrated consequence is passive disclosure, not command execution or device control.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Published CVSS scores
No CVSS assessment is available in this record.
CVSS describes severity. EPSS estimates exploitation probability.
