Insufficient policy enforcement in Google Chrome before 148.0.7778.96 allows attackers to bypass navigation restrictions through DevTools. A crafted Chrome extension reaches DevTools navigation handling without the intended policy restriction; Google has not disclosed the failing check or code path. Exploitation requires convincing a user to install the malicious extension, which can reach destinations that Chrome's navigation policy would otherwise block.
