Browser script execution via unsanitized branding footer
Published Oct 9, 2026 · Updated Oct 9, 2026
Stored XSS in Cloudron 9.1.7 and 9.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via the Branding Footer setting. The stored footer HTML retains JavaScript event handlers because it is rendered without sufficient sanitization on the public login/OpenID interaction page and in the System Event Log. Planting the payload requires administrator access, and execution occurs in the Cloudron web origin when an affected page is viewed, rather than directly on the server.
