Rejected as not a vulnerability
Published May 6, 2026 · Updated May 6, 2026
Google Chrome is not affected by CVE-2026-7936 because Google determined that the reported V8 issue is not a vulnerability. The CNA replaced the former object-lifecycle and out-of-bounds-read description with a rejection and removed the affected-version, CWE, CVSS, reference, and SSVC data. Accordingly, the former crafted-HTML attack scenario does not represent a confirmed security issue in Chrome.
