Script execution via HTML-parsed textContent writes
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
DOM-based XSS in Stencil core 4.43.5 allows remote attackers to execute script through attacker-controlled host textContent. The scoped-component runtime patch removes existing child nodes, then sends a textContent value through an HTML-parsing insertion path rather than creating a text node. Exposure requires the non-default experimental slot-fixes option, scoped style encapsulation, and an application write of externally controlled data; successful exploitation runs script in the application's origin.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
