CVE-2026-79319Network attack vector

Build metadata disclosure via unauthenticated WebSocket requests

Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026

Incorrect access control in Stencil core 4.43.5 allows remote attackers to read build metadata from its development WebSocket channel. The build-results branch accepts unauthenticated, origin-unchecked client messages and returns cached results after removing only the hot-reload field. A reachable development server and completed build expose project paths, generated-file lists, component relationships, and error-adjacent source lines, but not arbitrary files or code execution.
