Persistent admin access via nonrevocable session cookies
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Insufficient session expiration in vaxilu x-ui 0.3.2 allows attackers with an existing admin cookie to retain management access. The session layer stores the full user object in a client-side signed cookie and accepts it without re-reading current account state or a session version. Exploitation requires a valid pre-change administrator cookie and preserves access to read settings, modify proxy configuration, and trigger panel operations after credentials rotate.
