MFA bypass via case-sensitive username mapping

Authorization bypass in SEP GmbH SEP sesam before 5.2.0.24 allows remote authenticated users to register a second OTP authenticator. SEP sesam maps usernames case-sensitively while Active Directory resolves them case-insensitively, creating parallel SEP identities for one AD account. Exposure requires Active Directory authentication with enforced MFA and reduces MFA protection by attaching another authenticator to the account.
