Web origin policy bypass via malformed cookie input
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Improper input validation in Google Chrome's Cookies component before 152.0.7977.65 allows remote attackers to bypass web origin policy. Google has not disclosed which Cookies code path accepts the malformed input or how validation fails before origin enforcement. Exploitation requires a compromised renderer process and a crafted HTML page, and the published impact is limited to cross-origin confidentiality loss.
