Origin-policy bypass via crafted HTML input
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Improper input validation in Google Chrome's Network component before 152.0.7977.65 allows remote attackers to bypass web origin policy. Google has not published the specific input, validation path, or incorrect operation because the linked Chromium issue remains restricted. Exploitation requires a crafted HTML page to be processed in the browser, so user interaction is the reachability gate and bypass of cross-origin protections is the bounded consequence.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
