CVE-2026-79245

Sandbox escape via UI use-after-free

Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Use-after-free in Google Chrome before 152.0.7977.65 allows local users with a compromised renderer to execute code outside the sandbox. Google identifies the locus only as the browser UI and has not disclosed the freed object's lifetime error or the local program path that reuses it. Exploitation requires prior renderer compromise, user interaction, and a local program, but successful reuse executes code beyond the renderer sandbox.
