Sandboxed code execution via DevTools type confusion
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Type confusion in DevTools in Google Chrome before 152.0.7977.65 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox. Google identifies the flaw as a type confusion in DevTools, but the restricted issue does not disclose the affected code path or incompatible access. Exploitation requires social engineering that leads a user to load a crafted HTML page, and the resulting code execution remains inside Chrome's sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
