Sandbox escape via Aura use after free
Published May 6, 2026 · Updated May 6, 2026
Use after free in Aura in Google Chrome before 148.0.7778.96 allows remote attackers to escape the sandbox via crafted HTML. Google identifies Aura as the affected component, but the restricted issue record does not disclose the object-lifetime error that leaves freed memory accessible. Exploitation requires user interaction with crafted content and prior compromise of the renderer process; success escapes Chrome's sandbox.
