Renderer-compromise origin-policy bypass
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Improper input validation in Chrome NTP Footer before 152.0.7977.65 on Windows allows remote attackers to bypass web origin policy. Google identifies the NTP Footer as the affected locus but has not published the exact input field or validation operation that mishandles crafted HTML. Exploitation requires user interaction with the crafted page after the renderer process is already compromised, and the demonstrated consequence is an origin-policy bypass.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
