Origin-policy bypass via misbound TWA launch parameters
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Race condition in Google Chrome on Android before 152.0.7977.65 allows remote attackers to bypass web origin policy via a co-installed app. WebAppInstalls stores Trusted Web Activity launch parameters in one pending field and binds them to the next main-frame navigation without final URL scope enforcement. Exploitation requires social engineering, a co-installed Android app, and winning the asynchronous verification race; successful exploitation can deliver launch parameters across an origin boundary.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
