Sandbox escape via Aura use-after-free
Published May 6, 2026 · Updated May 6, 2026
Use after free in Aura in Google Chrome on Windows before 148.0.7778.96 allows remote attackers to escape the browser sandbox via crafted HTML. Chrome has not disclosed the affected Aura object or the operation that accesses it after its lifetime ends, and the linked bug remains restricted. Exploitation requires user interaction with the crafted page and a renderer process that has already been compromised; the resulting escape crosses the renderer's isolation boundary.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
