UI spoofing via crafted HTML page
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
UI misrepresentation in Google Chrome before 152.0.7977.65 allows remote attackers to spoof browser UI through a crafted HTML page. Google identifies the locus only as the UI component and has not disclosed the browser operation that lets page-controlled content impersonate trusted interface elements. Exploitation requires social engineering and user interaction with the crafted page, and the documented consequence is misleading displayed UI rather than code execution or data disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
