Sandbox-external memory disclosure via Media over-read
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Google Chrome's Media component before 152.0.7977.65 allows remote attackers to read memory via crafted HTML. Google has not disclosed the affected Media code path or the malformed field that drives the read beyond its intended buffer. Exploitation requires prior renderer compromise and exposes memory outside the sandbox, with no reported write or code-execution impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
