Sandboxed code execution via compositing use-after-free
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Use-after-free in Chrome Compositing before 152.0.7977.65 allows remote attackers to execute code in the sandbox via crafted HTML. The Compositing path accesses an object after its memory is freed, but Google has not disclosed the object or triggering lifetime sequence. Successful exploitation requires a user to load attacker-controlled HTML and confines the resulting code execution to the Chrome sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
