System access restriction bypass via BFCache authorization gap

Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

Missing authorization in Google Chrome before 152.0.7977.65 allows remote attackers with renderer compromise to bypass system access restrictions. The BFCache subsystem omits a required authorization check when handling a crafted HTML page, but Google has not disclosed the affected function or restricted resource. Exploitation requires prior compromise of Chrome's renderer process; the published impact is limited to crossing system access restrictions from that compromised renderer.
