Sandboxed code execution via V8 type confusion
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome before 152.0.7977.65 allows remote attackers to execute code inside the sandbox via crafted HTML. Google identifies incompatible-type access in the V8 engine but has not published the affected function or the operation that mishandles attacker-controlled data. Exploitation requires social engineering that causes a user to load the page, and the reported code execution remains confined to the browser sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
