Sandbox escape via Chromecast use-after-free
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Use-after-free in Google Chrome before 152.0.7977.65 allows remote attackers with a compromised renderer to escape its sandbox via crafted HTML. Google identifies the locus only as Chromecast and has not disclosed which object is freed or the code path that later dereferences it. Exploitation requires user interaction and prior renderer compromise; success executes arbitrary code outside Chrome's sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
