Administrator code execution via unqualified library call
Published Jun 11, 2026 · Updated Jun 11, 2026
Privilege escalation in IBM operating system releases 7.3 through 7.6 allows remote authenticated users to run user-controlled code as administrator. The affected 5770-SS1 feature makes an unqualified library call that can resolve user-controlled code instead of the intended object. Low-privileged network access is sufficient, but IBM has not identified the calling program, object, or library-list conditions.
