Information disclosure in GitPython before 3.1.59 allows attackers to read a local file's first line through a crafted .gitmodules file. Submodule._config_parser constructs SubmoduleConfigParser without disabling merge_includes, so GitConfigParser follows an untrusted include path and embeds the opened file's first line in MissingSectionHeaderError. Exploitation requires processing attacker-controlled repository content and accessing repo.submodules; disclosure is limited to the first line of a file readable by the victim process.
