CVE-2026-7865Network attack vector

Authenticated OS command execution via console popen

Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026

Command injection in Crestron Touchpanels x60/x70 series before 3.003.0015.001 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. The hidden console command passes its second argument to popen without neutralizing control characters that alter the resulting command. A high-privilege SSH console account is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied commands on the appliance OS.
