SSH behavior modification via URL-handler flag injection
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Argument injection in Okta Privileged Access Client 1.18.0 and later, before 1.113.0, allows remote attackers to alter SSH behavior. The scaleft URL handler appends its target without an option terminator, so a hyphen-prefixed value is parsed as a CLI flag. A user must click a crafted scaleft:// link; resulting flags can change connection handling, but no arbitrary command execution is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
