Unauthenticated refunds via unrestricted AJAX handler
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Improper access control in Eupago Gateway for WooCommerce before 4.7.2 allows remote attackers to initiate arbitrary order refunds. The WordPress AJAX refund action accepts POST parameters without a cookie, nonce, or credentials, then submits the refund with the merchant's stored gateway credentials. No account is required; for applicable payment methods, supplied bank details redirect the refunded funds to an attacker-controlled account.
