Account compromise via unrestricted password guessing
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Improper authentication-attempt restriction in WatchGuard Dimension before 2.3.1 allows remote attackers to guess user passwords. The web login endpoint neither rate-limits failed requests nor locks accounts unless the optional lockout setting is enabled. The setting is disabled by default, so network access to the login page permits automated guessing and account access when a password is found.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
